Truth

Title: Truth
Author: Tanya Llyod Kyi
Genre: Teen Fiction/Mystery
Its 1 am. Jen just came from a teen party. The police are knocking on the door and are asking to talk to Jen. There has been a murder at the party. The police are asking Jen questions on what happened at the party. Jen lies to police and doesn't tell much, she just mentioned that she was down stairs in the kitchen and never knew about the murder, which has took place upstairs. After asking Jen questions the police has also asked everyonne else who were in the party. On the next day, Jen's in the newshow kind of club, her teacher for that club ask Jen and the video guy Scott to go and investigate and report on the murder. From tallking to one of the police officers, Jen finds out something, and might just know the murderer. After a few days, Jen get to know that her boyfriend and his friends Ross, and Nate who were also at the party has went to the police station to answer question three times. Also the person who Jen suspected is one of this person. Scott once calls, and tells Jen to meet him at th media lab since he has some new info on the case, but when Jen goes there, Scott is not there, she waitet, still he never showed up. After school, from her doctor father, Jen finds out that Scott is in the hospital. She goes and sees hims at the hospital, Scott says the person who beated him said in his ear "Silence is the best policy." Also in Jen's locker someone has left a not saying the same thing. The rest of the story continues on finding out who killed the victim, who were part of it, who beated up Scott, and if Jen's boyfriend is involved in the crime or not.
This book was fairly good. Even though it was genred as a Teen Fiction, it has many elements in which a mystery book has. As Jen was trying to solve the crime, I was trying to guess who did it, but there were a little to many suspects to suspect, cause the way everyone act brings them into the murder.

Hi, Mina:

this is a new author for me. I just came across two more titles by KYI, last week.

She seems like she holds reader's attention especially if a mystery fan/expert like you could not guess the ending.

Thanks.
